Abstract

Fabric loss during spreading has significantly affected the total production cost in apparel manufacturing. The fabrics loss in garment industry has not been specified, although the impact has demonstrated quite clearly in the production. The aim of this investigation is determination of relationships between some parameters of roll of cloth, marker length and fabric loss during Rib 1:1 spreading. Roll length and width of fabric, marker length, fabric loss during spreading are determined in manufacturing progress of Polo Shirt. The results showed that fabric loss during spreading TD is proportional to roll length of cloth Lc; is inversely proportional to the end spreaded roll length of cloth Lđt and the number of layers of roll N with significant correlation coefficients (R2 = 0.6850 ÷ 0.9923). Slope of fabric width few changes and significantly smaller than the loss of length.
