Abstract

Study on the elastic elongationproperty of the general cloth to design the costume for cheongsam. The elongation, as well as the recovery of the elasticity have been determined by the standard under the force impact of the load 1.8 kg. Having been evaluated by successive tests, the measurement determination and the design of the pattern for cheongsam are carried out( hoặc are done) following mannequin measurement size M. These factors are combined to create the pattern for cheongsam that gives optimum movement. This pattern, after that, is adjusted by caculating the elongation and elastic property of the cloth so as to give the appropriate movement while designing.

The designed pattern is then tested directly of mannequin by the software CLO 3D. The test result gives the appropriate movement ensuring the fitness for three kinds of clothes with different elongation.
