EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION OF TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM BASED ON ABS PNEUMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM
Traction control system enhances safety and mobility of vehicle. The paper proposes an anti-slip regulator by braking active wheels integrated in ABS pneumatic braking system and investigates the acceleration characteristics of a 4x2 truck on roads with non-homogeneous adhesion coefficient. The simulation results show that the air pressure in the brake actuator and braking torque of the slipping wheels reflect true physical laws. This shows that the proposed systemcan be used as an anti-slip regulator for enhancing vehicle acceleration characteristics.
