A STUDY ON NOVEL PROFILE OF CLAW ROTOR FOR VACUUM PUMP
Abstract
The claw rotors pair is a key component of claw vacuum pumps. The claw rotor profile is mainly effected to the performance of claw vacuum pump. Therefore, this study proposes a new profile for claw rotor to improve the performance of claw vacuum pump. Geometric models of the proposed claw rotors were established, and profile equations were also derived. Moreover, the working process and geometry of suction and discharge ports were presented. The study results indicate that the performance of claw vacuum pump with new rotor profile can be improved significantly to traditional rotor profile.
