RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF 2D TECHNICAL SAMPLES BY CALIBRATING SAMPLES ON 3D SOFTWARE
Abstract
The fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) has been spreading globally, strongly affecting all activities of life - society, including the fashion industry. In the field of industrial garment production, manual operations and mere mechanical devices have gradually been replaced by modern digital electronic devices. The application of virtual simulation technology on 3D software has been researched and used to design costumes with high quality and performance. This paper presents the research results of applying 3D simulation software Optitex to calibrate men’s shirts and pants. The research results show that the costumes can be technically designed on 3D software, then corrected for errors that have been overcome by 3D design software through virtual testing to comment and assess the fit. as well as the suitability of the outfit and bring high efficiency to businesses.
