Abstract

: The paper gives some basic to calculate and design a downdraft biomass gasifier. The result shows some main parameters as follows: the heat capacity reaches 1327 KWth; the capacity of the combustion chamber is 0.65%; the amount of needed air is 1500 m3/h; the diameter is 0.75m; the volume of the combustion chamber is 0.55 m3; the grate area is 0.44m2; the amount of consumed energy is 125kg/h.
