Fabric bending properties are one of the important characteristics that affect the quality of sewing products and in the fabric industry especially for industrial applications of high-performance fabrics. The relationships between different fabric properties and flexural stiffness of the fabric were analyzed. Several types of woven cotton fabrics had been tested for this purpose. Fabric structure parameters affecting the hardness of woven cotton fabric are determined according to TCVN and Cantilever methods. Research results show that there was a close relationship between flexural stiffness of the fabric with mass parameters, density, yarn count, filling and fabric thickness. The flexural stiffness values of the measured fabric, compared with theoretical calculations show good consensus.
